Boboli

32 King St W, Brockville, ON

Boboli is a cozy, eclectic café with a great selection of specialty coffees, homemade soup, sandwiches and desserts. They get rave reviews for their fresh ingredients, and decadent desserts. If you like chocolate, this is the place to go, but they also have fruit pies, carrot cake and giant homemade cookies.

Lunch time is busy, go early to get a table. They are open most days until 5pm. Cash only (there is a ATM across the street).

[Ed. Try the curried chicken sandwich on light rye, it’s packed with fresh vegetables. Follow up with a coffee and the chocolate torte.]

Richard’s Coffeehouse

234 King St W, Brockville, ON

The votes were so close, we decided to give a shout out to Richard’s Coffeehouse. Situated directly across from the Brockville Arts Center and open late (until 10pm), it’s a great stop before or after a night out.

Richard’s serves many homemade Kosher baked goods, gelato, and gluten-free snack bars. They have a great selection of coffee and teas, lattes, espresso, cappuccino, fruit smoothies and juices. Stop in for breakfast or lunch.

Plus, they have free wifi, a big screen TV, board games, and occasionally live music…did I mention they’re open late?
